Unearthing Archer County: Archeological Investigation

Horizon Environmental Services · Archer City, Texas · 2025 · 10:04 Horizon Environmental Services was involved in an exciting Texas history project centered around the restoration and preservation of the National Register of Historic Places-(NRHP) listed Archer County Jail located in downtown Archer City, the home of famous literary author Larry McMurtry and actress Angela Kinsey. We documented the dig turning a technical investigation into a short film anyone can follow. The film lets Horizon show clients, the county and the public the value of careful cultural-resource work.
